Crafting tesuji

The roots of tesuji lie in a lineage of craftsmanship passed down through generations. This craft has been learned from mother to daughter — in simple yet meaningful moments shared among threads, buttons, and fabrics; by observing, experimenting, and feeling. The memories of garments sewn by the women in the family and their first handmade creations form the emotional core of Tesuji.

Over time, this heritage of handcraft has evolved through encounters with natural dyeing techniques and slow, nature-aligned methods of production, shaping the experiences that form the basis of Tesuji Works’ philosophy. Tesuji Works is a space where the legacy of the past meets the values of the present — drawing inspiration from its roots while reaching toward the future with a contemporary sense of craftsmanship.

Through inventive approaches, we’re reimagining fashion as something that works for all—playful, practical, and welcoming.

We reclaim high-quality fabrics that are often overlooked in large-scale production. By giving new life to existing materials, we help reduce waste and support a circular economy.

Minimally processed. Naturally kind.

All our pieces are made from natural fibres — cotton, linen, gauze and hemp — known for their breathability, strength, comfort an stay kind to the planet. These materials are free from synthetic additives and do not release microplastics during use or washing, which are highly harmful to both the environment and our bodies, during use or washing.

Our fabrics are kept in their raw state — undyed or naturally colored — or, in some cases, high-quality textiles that are often overlooked in large-scale production are repurposed and reintroduced into the manufacturing process.

Beyond the seasons

A small and boutique approach to design, allows our team to participate in and oversee the work conditions and production practices. This ongoing commitment to fair labor practices, reducing over-consumption, and fabric recycling ensures that each piece at Tesuji is thoughtfully and intentionally crafted.

Rather than following fast-paced fashion cycles, we prioritize creating timeless pieces that go beyond seasonal boundaries. Our collections are carefully designed to integrate seamlessly into your wardrobe, offering versatility and lasting wear.
